Birth of Fuzz Top in November 2010.
As an unconditional fan of ZZ Top, Patrick, the band's drummer, came up with the idea of creating this Tribute To ZZ Top. For the record, he bought his first ZZ Top vinyl (Tres Hombres) 50 years ago! Fuzz Top's style is, of course, Texan Blues Rock.
The band remains faithful to the original songs, reproducing the rhythmic guitar riffs and solos note for note. The repertoire consists of the greatest hits of the Texas beards, from 1969 to the present day. The musicians also use keyboard sequences as on the original recordings from 1979 to 1990. Like their Texan idols, they are three on stage: a singer-guitarist, a singer-bassist, and a drummer-backing vocalist.
What sets Fuzz Top apart from other ZZ Top tributes is their proximity to the ZZ Top image, making them both a Tribute and Lookalikes. With the same choreographies, Hot Rod guitars, rotating wigs, illuminated microphone stands, costumes, stage design, and even ZZ Top's drum kit, with three or four costume and guitar changes during the show, and especially for a better illusion with the audience: the same BEARDS! Since June 28, 2014, following the meeting with Billy Gibbons, Dusty Hill, and Frank Beard, they have been the OFFICIAL tribute recognized by the members of ZZ Top. Fuzz Top is the only tribute band to own the famous 1933 Ford Dust Eliminator, an exact replica of the Eliminator.
In numbers, Fuzz Top has already performed over 500 concerts, with an average of 50 to 55 concerts per year and covering approximately 50,000 km throughout Europe over the past three years, and this number is only increasing over time. The band consists of: Patrick Pacheco: Vocals, Guitar Christian Desmettre: Vocals, Bass Patrick Girardon: Backing vocals, Drums.
Don't hesitate to come and discover them, you'll be amazed!!!
