Bob Marley | Kingston Calling

It was in 2016 that KINGSTON CALLING - Tribute to Bob Marley was born in a small town in Morbihan.

The Reggae Roots sound group, formed by the guitarist Stéphane Dahan, develops through numerous residencies, concerts and cultural events.

In 2018, from the meeting between Steph and Kazy, a real human and artistic crush was born. It is together that they evolve the very essence of KINGSTON CALLING.

Coming from Madagascar in 2002, Kazy is a singer with a pure voice, between strength and sensitivity. Already well present on the reggae scene (DUB CAMP FESTIVAL, NO LOGO BZH, UPRISING FESTIVAL, etc.) as well as in theaters (Capellia, Le Ferrailleur, etc.) and rich in his numerous collaborations (Alpha Blondy, Danakil, Clinton Fearon, Julian Marley, Marcus Gad, The Congos, Twinkle Brothers, Winston Mc Anuff), he naturally poses as master of ceremonies with KINGSTON CALLING which perfectly embodies the world of Robert Nesta Marley.

Present on the 2023 stage alongside artists such as FAYGO, or MAX ROMEO, but also in various festivals (Ton Bourg Battant, Tous en Cene, Tribute Fest...), and in collaboration with SINAH BOOKING, the training now counts eight musicians (Kazy, Bema, Ioane, Stéphane, Lionel, Jérome, Mickael and Jean-Noël), all engaged in the faithful restitution of the great Bob Marley titles as well as the sounds, grains and textures so particular to the Wailers.

Through this approach, KINGSTON CALLING simply wishes to pay a deep tribute to Robert Nesta Marley, to this immense work
